Default Good news for the lake trout lovers...

when talking to a DOW officer on saturday... I found out that they are talking about restocking Clear lake with mackinaws again.

This will be awesome, since the lake is small, yet deep as hell... and has tons of little stockers.

I just had some little macs for dinner. Mmmmmmm... delicious. Don't worry they were very small, and I only had 2 from last weekend.

gimme your laker tube colors and we will talk, Don.

Jokes. it's the lake above georgetown. I hope this pans out.... since you can't fish the lake in late fall and winter, it's gonna grow some nice macks if people don't fish them out.

Ha ha! That's why I dip my own! Not commercially available.

That would be nice to have a laker water that close! Sure would be nice if they at least put a slot on it after they take hold.

Thanks for the info.

c'mon guy... Gross is only 45 mins from you and that's a trophy laker impoundment, if you can find the damn things.

Honestly, if they did do this... I would petition for them to make all mackinaws in there catch and release for at least 7 years to give them a fighting chance... and then put them in a slot limit afterwards, with a bag limit of 1.

And I'm a new convert to radical glow tubejigs....
