If it's in the freezer how can it be "fresh"? I know of a few places to buy it

I think it definetly helps under certain conditions, or for heavily pressured larger fish. Scent can make all the difference. A strip of sucker if you cut it just right can look awful good in the water too. I think it`s better to have it than not (where legal)- it works.

I think it depends on the situation and the lake.

at granby, It helps ALOT with the fish since that lake gets mad pressure.

at Jefferson, for some reason I really don't think it makes a hell of a difference. I fished there about 8 times before ice there and the bigger lakers would chase untipped jigs more than tipped. I ain't a fishing expert but I think it's because untipped jigs movements aren't hindered.

And if I do tip jigs, I won't use suckers anymore.

Its called "matching the hatch".

Lots of suckers in granby.

Not many suckers in Jefferson.

Draw your own conclusions.

Its fresh frozen if you catch 50+ last Sunday. Also the stuff you buy in stores has mushy, freezer burn meat.
