Finally got my Antero mount back

I am not sure about the little bait fish they are on a wire so I can just pop them off if I want


I am pretty happy with the mount overall, my taxidermist said he couldn't get it filled as much as it was in real life so the girth is a little less. He also put a different dorsal fin on because he thought the one on there was too small and I have to agree it did look pretty weird.

The fish looks real good.

I can never understand why taxidermists don't put forth the effort to make the wood mount look as though it's under water...it takes very little work and it would add so much to the finished product.

I think he asked me when I dropped it off and I said not to worry about it, now I am wishing I had him throw a coat of laquer on the wood maybe I will do it down the road.

Nice mount it turned out great!

CO kid...you can apply it yourself with a spray can if you can remove the fish to avoid overspray. Or, you can use a brush.

I avoid lacquer because of the fumes...if you are interested, I'll let you know what I use.
