Default New boating regs approved

I saw in the Rocky mtn news that the new regs have been approved by the DOW and Parks. My question is if I fish Pueblo and pass the pre and post inspection and my boat has a tag on it can I then go fish another lake a few days latter? Do I have to wait for a decontamination period?

My fishing partner and I am fishing the two CWA events in Pueblo but also want to fish other lakes around the same time. Need to figure out what we can do after visiting Pueblo. It would be nice to prefish over the weekend and still be able to fish one night during the week in the denver area. I drain, clean and make sure thinks are dry but would like a little freedom to move around.

They way I understood it is that the intact post-inspection tag lets you skip the next pre-launch inspection at P-lo, but doesn't affect your ability to go anywhere else on any schedule.

You'll have to clip the tag if you fish elsewhere, so then you'll have to go back through pre-inspection - which might be a hassle during the tourney.

Not very worried about the tournament days as we usually fish on that Friday of the tournament weekend. The kids will string me out to dry if we can't go skiing before the 2nd event later in the summer.

You should be safe with the kids - you definitely do not have to leave the tag on between the 2 tourneys.

I totally understand your concerns, my kids would do the same.

Agreed Zman! I'm not so sure the folks at Chatty would be too happy either. I though the tags were only for the lake you were at. Chatty was talking about the tags last year, but I don't think the program was in place yet.

Actually did exactly that last year when P-lo didn't even have post-inspections and although the Aurora folks were extra thorough (meaning they actually checked everything), I still went fishing.

According to a couple CWA tourney guys If you ask the Pueblo zebra police for an ANS-free certificate, they will inspect and give you one. It could save you a hastle at your next lake.
