I almost went fishing there before...decided to get a guide to take me on the big lake though and catch salmon...Most michiganders are criminals, plain and simple. It's something I learned about them from living up there for 2 years.

who are you to make that kind of generalization?
exactly where did you live for 2 years to gives you the perspective to say that?

that has to be one of the most stupid statements ever made.

My whole family on the in-law side is from Michigan...............not criminals at all. Neither are the people I've met up there.

The whole walleye theft issue doesn't surprise me. The territories between Michigan the Indian tribes up there are vast.............and the rules are different between the two. It would be easy to slip in and steal fish..............especially ones that make runs..................walleye, trout, and salmon. I'm glad they got caught............hopefully they catch the rest of 'em.

Flint and detroit, two of the three worst cities in the US. I admitted it was a generalization and definitely not all are criminals...but if you guys lived there, you would be singing a different tune I'm sure. I was at mott lake in flint once fishing off this popular spot with a lot of other people and a guy pulled up in a cadillac with a gun and was threatening people. Rather than calling the cops, about 6 of the people fishing in this spot pulled guns out of concealed areas. People also were smoking crack and marijuana at the fishing spots, and drinking alcohol (when alcohol is illegal in that park) and I highly doubt anybody had fishing licenses or concealed weapon carry permits. Granted, it may have been where I was in that state that left a bad taste in my mouth about many of the people.

Don, I don't see how my generalization about crime activity in places that are at the top of the US in crime activity relates to my scientific arguements/interpretation of the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program.
