Default Lunker Punkers - braid or mono?

So for those of you who throw the 6 and 9" Lunker Punkers, do you recommend using 65-lb braid or 25-lb mono? I've got the option of using either line, and I've heard arguments for both. I'm curious to see what the CO Punker chunkers recommend.

For those of you who don't know what a Lunker Punker is, here's a useful link:

And some video of Punkers in action:

Default Re: Lunker Punkers - braid or mono?

I don't fish the Lunker Punkers, but I have thrown some pretty big topwaters including a 6" and 8" Strike King King Kong. The braid lasts so much longer and is easier to handle. I had a hard time finding decent mono in that high of a line lb. test. Too stiff. I have had some lower lb. test mono even snap with a 5" topwater so I don't trust it. That is all I will say as I have not caught anything on these big topwaters yet. But there's always this weekend.....
