Default Rod Repair

Hey everyone,

Thought I'd ask here since maybe someone else has run into this issue. I have a St. Croix Light Spinning Rod and the plastic guard that is on the inside of the very bottom line guide has broken off and now is just exposed metal which cuts my line instantly. I have tried places like Sportsman's Warehouse to see if they can replace the bottom guide but they couldn't and didn't know where I could get it fixed. I would like to just have the rod fixed and not have to buy a new one. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's an easy fix.
Provide the new guide (mudhole.com is a great source) and cover the shipping... I'd wrap it up and coat it for ya (no charge).

If you are close to Chatfield I have the guide in stock and the service to repair it. Just bring it by. (303) 948-2258 Looney

You might try talking to Louise at the tackle store near Cherry Creek Reservoir (Valley Country I think). I'm not sure if it was her or a friend of hers that bought out all the rod building stuff from Uncle Milty when he went out of business - they may do rod repair.

Call St.Croix 1-800-826-7042 (select Service Center), and ask if it is covered by the warranty.....

Try Jeff (FishinLooney) on here...he makes custom rods and might repair it for you...not sure if he does repairs...he is in SW metro if that matters to where you are located...
