I can tell you that it was stocked with rainbow trout two weeks ago. Sorry, that's all I got. I've never been there but I watch the stocking reports and I got fooled into thinking that Monument Reservoir near Monument was stocked!

Fishing is good at both monument will be killed off in september due to the sucker infestation and then restocked.

Both are fishing well right now... take a fly rod to north lake and a kid if possible!

What are the best flies to use at either lake?

I normally use a pistol pete at the north Monument lake. I've seen plenty of fished landed with powerbait there as well. We also caught quite a few using worms last summer. Not flies, but they still catch fish.
