Default Teen with Terminal Cancer needs your help!!

Let's come together to help this Teenager with terminal cancer. His one last wish was to have his own boat and go fishing in his boat. Please see details below.

We need your help!! One of Andrew's wishes in life has been to have his own fishing boat. We have fulfilled this wish and are now frantically searching for places for him to take his boat and go fishing!! We wish we could wait until May or June but we cannot due to the rapid progression of Andrew's cancer. Here are the details that we are looking for...

His wish is to head south (as all of the lakes in the Midwest and north are still frozen over) in search of fishing spots for walleye, largemouth bass, crappie and perch. We would hope to first find places to fish for these specific kinds of fish and then secondly, find fishing guides that would go out with us in Andrew’s boat and teach us how to fish that specific lake. We do not expect any of this to be comped and will spend whatever money is necessary to make Andrew’s last days as special as possible.

Could you please help us in searching out fishing spots and guides? We will go anywhere!! Mike is going to Nebraska to pick up Andrew's boat tomorrow or Thursday and we hope to have a plan in place and leave early next week.

PLEASE e-mail Joni at [email protected] or send me a PM with any recommendations. You can also post any recommendations here as I will check back frequently over the next few days. We sincerely appreciate all of your help!!

Thanks Guys! I've had a couple recommendations for Powell, which is a great option. Can anyone think of a good lake down in NM, AZ, or others in UT?

search Az fishing guides, that would be the best bet this time of year. it is a matter of contacting them to find one who can help you out

Four corners area http://www.navajomarina.com/pages/fishingguide.html Never fished the lake (only the tailwater) but have heard good things about the lake fishing and with 150 miles of public shoreline the opportunity should be good.

Conchas lake and UTE reservoir in New Mexico has some great bass, walleye, crappie, white bass, and walleye. I have only been there once in the summer though. Not sure which guide to use but it is a great place for that boat.

Is there a place to make a (secure) contribution towards the boat or guide?

you might want to look at Navajo lake in NM! I can give you a couple names of guys that might be willing to help out. One used to guide out there, and the other is a bass fisherman who calls the lake home! Either might be able to help out. PM me if that sounds OK! I can then try to get in touch!

I've heard great reviews about Navajo, might try checking that place out. Hope your search is going well. I recently lost my mom to cancer. I hope and pray that this person does not have to suffer, they will be in my prayers!
