Default Lakes on Pikes Peak

Anyone know when Crystal and the Catamount lakes will open? Is it the same date every year or based on ice-out?

On a similar note, I read they are planning on opening some of the back lakes on Pikes Peak some time next year.

Depended on funding... it wont open until the trail system is complete, so they are arguing about who will pay for it now.

I've heard second hand information, though from a reliable source, that they don't have enough money or funding to open and operate them the way that they would like to. I have a pretty cool connection to some of those south side Pike's Peak lakes now.
