Default Painted jigs & soft plastics

I've noticed when I keep soft plastics on some painted jig heads the paint gets all soft and bubbley and starts to peal off of the jig. Does any one have an explanation why this happens? (or how to prevent it)

The paint they use is garbage.

I use an expoxy finish on all my jigs that way it will not happen.
Makes them extremely durable.

Check them out.. Hookerjigs.net

I have some of your jigs. I bought them at All Eyes on Walleyes expo. They rock!! I'll be buying more when I run low. Very nice jigs, well made. There's no problem with the finish on them.

Glad you are liking them....

Keep in touch as I am now living in Minnesota so I will not be at the expos anymore...
