Whether you sent a comment to them or not, they did not listen....

Spearfishing, archery, and gigs are now legal for northern pike statewide with no restrictions for seasons. I want to puke.

There is really no way to answer that question without you being insulted.

I am not worried about spearfishing. Archery and gigs however, have you ever seen a pike spawn?

Do you still think they are enhancing your fishing experience?
Sadly this may have unfortunate consequences, I can't think of a pike fisherman I know who will stand and watch while some ftards shoot up a lake of spawners without doing something.
No limits

The illegal snagging was already bad enough, I think they got tired of all the phone calls complaining so they made it legal.

RG is SCREWED!

The biggest problem "in my opinion" will be that you won't see 12" northerns getting stuck, it will be the big spawning fish. Remove the top and we will have a whole lot of little mouths with no predation. Welcome to stunted fish

Oh I bet there will be many more diving buoys floating next year. The big problem with these new regs is that they aren't in any shape or form related to management to sustain the pike only to eradicate. If the DOW would use limits, seasons, slots in conjunction with methods of take I would be much more supportive but their motives are clear.
