Walleye in Crawford
Some may not know that two of the species mentioned by Dan Kowalski for stocking as "medium" size predators to help better maintain a size of interest on the perch and crappie were Saugeye and Walleye. No mention of sterile Walleye just Walleye.

I say we hit on this statement out of his very own, most recent report on Crawford. Write him and say we are in favor of his recommendations for Walleye to be introduced into Crawford.

Re: Walleye in Crawford
It would be great to have walleye in Crawford. I am not sure how to make a sterile walleye. Saugeye would be the sterile choice. This could be a great perch fishery if the numbers of perch were consumed by saugeye!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Walleye in Crawford
Here is a link to the report from Crawford. The bit about walleye is at the very end but these reports are fun to review.

Given that Walleye are the number one fish on most every pole you'd think we could all take a moment to give Dan an email in regards to our support.... Lets see if we can get a positive thread going with a positive easy to handle message and approach. I would bet with a little effort we can get as much attention to a positive post as all the negative ones of late.

Lets try and tally how many emails so we know later when we speak at the meetings. or not.

Sounds like the kind of lake that Saugeye were originally designed for! And of course that is why it will never happen ::)

Re: Walleye in Crawford
I wrote him and told him I was in favor of walleye to be placed into crawford. I think they would really benefit the fishery as far as increasing panfish size and providing a new sportfishing/potential trophy walleye fishery.

Also, cochise you should check out the names of some of the newest WSA members. One of them is pretty hilarious.
