Here is the Q and A section they have on the site:

http://www.navionics.com/MobileMarin...leType=Android

So... Anybody use this or a similar app?

What are the depth contours?

Better or worse than an actual GPS unit?

I have read through a few random threads on the interwebs.. some people are syaing thaty this works just as good if not better than there GPS unit??

Price of the download is only like $13 if I remember correctly.

Also was wondering.... How reliable or accurate are the way points that are marked on a phone as opposed to ones marked with an actual GPS unit?(I have a Droid 2)

Is my Droid gunna make the $300 GPS unit I just bought obsolete?? LMAO

One bonus for me is that my Droid has a color screen and my GPS is B&W.

it sounds pretty damn cool...i am interested in this... i use google earth on my htc incredible and it get me a few ideas about lakes and shoreline structure. im just not sure about wasting money on something that just ends up looking like a map of the lake...unless the satellite images are good...

I have had the navionics maps on my Iphone for almost 2 years.. (next spring).. They are nice when you want to play but it works nothing like my Handheld, or on my boat..

I love messing with it but I don't rely on that one.

Is there a version for blackberry? This could be quite useful.
