Planer boards

Looking to fish planer boards this year. Any suggestions on brands or setup?

The offshore brand with the tattle tale flags are what I prefer. Upgrade the back clip as well.

Agree. Replace with OR-31's on the back clips and OR-18's on the front. I run braid on my trolling reels and this combination of clips holds the braid. Also upgrade to Tattle Tail flags.

The smaller duck brand ones (forget the name) are okay, but those offshore ones are much better!!!

Thats good to know that! Does one need anything besides planer boards and rod holders?

My boat is going to look a little odd here soon when i finally get my downriggers mounted. Downriggers and planer boards sounds like fun!

I've got a set for sale that is nearly the price of a single Off-Shore brand board.

Take a look and maybe do some research on that setup and let me know.
