Default Fishing in the snow

I have tomorrow off and was planning on doing some open water/ fly fishing up in estes. Well it's gonna snow so my question is will it be worth it to try to fish the lake with bait? Or will the fish be turned off. I know fish in rivers are always eating and have caught many in the snow just wondering if it is the same for fish in lakes. In the same regards if I don't go up there I might try for bass again. Do they eat in the snow? Will it be a waste of time? What tactics work?

Just wondering what I should do tomororw.

If the previous idea is a bust I'll go ice fishing!

Thanks.

I don't think the snow will bother the fish, and I plan to be fishing somewhere tomorrow. The only drawback to fishing while it's snowing is that you're going to be real lonesome out there.

I've caught lots of big fish early spring during snow and heavy rain. I believe a low barometer has an adverse effect on the fishing most of the time,,, but I have done some great fishing during a low pressure front. Good luck.

I have had insanley good days when it started snowing. I also have been skunked when it started snowing. I like it though something peaceful about snow.
I feel its better to fish rivers and streams in the snow.

Thanks guys. Deep down I knew it. I just needed a little push to go out today. Left at 6am and it was warm and no snow. By 6:30 it was snowing like crazy. Only put up with that for an hour or two. I think I'll go ice fishing now! *

I have always fished in the snow. It seems to work bettter on rivers than lakes. More importantly I think, I walk THROUGH lots of snow to get to the water. Various lakes right at ice out or small openings in the ice are killer!
