Default What's your favorite hook

I'm up in the air and can't decide what brand I like best. I like Daiichi because they are super sharp but they don't have much of a selection. I like owner because they have a great point that won't roll over and the chrome finish is really durable. I also like gamakatsu because of the wide selection they make. Let me know what your favorite is and why.

I've been using Gmakatsu for rigging senkos and plastics and I really like them... I started using them because the Yamamoto website said that Gmakatsu designed one of their models just for the senko. I dont fish with live bait so I can't make any recomendations there.

I try to buy American-made hooks where I can, which basically means Eagle Claw. If I want some type that Eagle Claw doesn't have, I'll go to Gamakatsu.

I got some Owner hooks to test from NAFC, they werent as sharp as I would of liked. I know a bunch of people who swear by them but I was not to impressed with my first impression.

That's awesome, I try to apply the same philosophy in all my purchases and everyday business.

I also like gamkatsu. I love these new VMC sure set treble hooks. I did some experimenting with them last year and I believe they improved hook-up numbers considerably.
