Default getting closer at pueblo

the lake is about 6 feet low at this time and with the winds they say we will have this next week there will be a lot of floaters out there and in waves they are hard to see if they are waterlogged. be carefull out there. i took the lab for a swim at the so. marina and the island at the n,end of the dam only needs inchs to be under water. at this rate ship rock will go away in about 3 weeks. just under a month till the nets go out for the spawn.

Won't be long. Jerkbait time. Do they just put the nets up around the dam? I assume where the nets are is clearly marked.

In past years the nets have been along the NE corner of the dam, along the North side West of the Marina and on the East side of the Marina. I'm sure there other places.
I tried fishing from my canoe at night and have caught plenty of net.
The little orange floats don't show up well to my night vision.
Water temp was 38 on Sunday. Was out in the sail boat stretching lines and cleaning lures.

Ed
they set the nets from the so.marina east to the dam, then north across the dam to the north shore. they then set a couple at the east shore of the n.marina and west of the n.marina along the flat to the first bay on the right.the nets are 300-400 feet long and have an orange or white float at each end. they are set close to shore. the so.shore should be net free from boggs flat to peck creek. some times they have a couple of nets on the lake side of the point at peck creek if they need them

Pueblo has been 38-39 since Dec. Don't know about others but after some fishless trips in late Dec I just stopped going down. I'm gonna wait until I see 43-44 before I go back. This lake is a flat out tease from late-Dec thru early March.
