Default Skeeter Boat Parts?

Why is Skeeter so slow at ordering parts? You have to order parts through a dealer.

Tuesday - 2 dealers called, said they would call back.
Wednesday - No call back.
Thursday - Called them back and was told and I quote. “We are waiting for Skeeter to call us back”. End of today and still nothing.

Seriously, in a day and age where you can source anything online and get it in a reasonable amount of time?Skeeter holds the cards when it comes to parts.

Does anyone have a better source for Skeeter parts?

Hey dude how is it going. Nice new rig congrats wish you well. Get on the net and look up some skeeter dealers back east Texas Missouri get in with those guys I have found they get things done faster for some parts and issues I have had in the past. We have to hook up this spring for last years loss. I have been on a few jobs lately but in all cases just missed your dad. Hope he is doing well.

It's me again. I found a post that skeeter discontinues parts for boats 7 yrs and older. Hope it's not true. You might get on "bassboatcentral" and get on their forum and start asking around.

Good to here from you. Thanks for the tip. I need some cosmetic stuff. Nothing big.
Steering wheel bolt cover and replacement sticker for the gun wall. Thinking they should have something that will work.

Skeeter isn't the only manufacturer that is hard to deal with in that respect...

My Lowe, rest in pieces, had a couple of trim items I wanted to replace...corner caps at the ends of the gunnel that I broke on the dock...I needed to replace a hinge once...had very little luck with the dealer...

Once I got rid of that boat and into my Alumacraft I decided to get the bimini that Alumacraft offers with it...

Im still waiting for a call...

Tough time a year for Skeeter, It was all hands on deck for the Classic so they are just getting back to normal. Don't know what type of parts your looking for but try Smith RV/Marine. I have known Kevin for years and he is a great guy. As a matter of fact they are hard at work preping my dad's new FX right now. I don't know anything about Skeeter not making parts for older boats, I have an I-class and have never had a problem with ordering.

Finally got my parts ordered, I did call Smith RV and Marine, worked with Roy.
Bit of advice, tell them to email Skeeter when pricing parts, versus calling and waiting.
Found this out after I posted on Skeeter's facebook page about the long delay problem.
