Default LOWRANCE / HUMMINGBIRD OWNERS ?

Just wondering if any of you utilize a "Lakemaster" or "Navionics" map chip in your units?
I know lowrance will soon come out with their own chip, but what do the current chips add to the maps built into the unit as sold?
Do the aftermarket chips add that much detail to the lakes in Colorado... Wyoming.... Nebraska, etc?
Thanks ahead... JIMI

I would have to say yes!!! I have the navionics hot maps west addition and it gives pretty good detail. a cheeper way to go is to download Navionics web store and then buy the west addition for 25.00 and look at the detail of the lake you want. Chatfield and Pueblo and Cherry creek as well as Aurora res are on there. NB is a different area but Glendo is on there as well. I have an HDS 10 and i love the detail. Here is the web link for Navionics.http://store.navionics.com/faqs/download_webstore
