Default Those of you in the market for a higher end rod...

To those of you in the market for a higher end spinning/casting rod, Cabelas has a great deal for their 50th aniversary mag touch rods.
Recoil Black Pearl guides
54 million-modulus blank
Multilayer graphite handle

$200 rod for $88. 1Cent shipping if you buy a cheap hat or bandana for $3.

Probably a good stick, what's it weigh, Cabelas needs to start listing rod weights, and don't buy into the whole modulus thing....I can find you an 80 million modulus rod that is cheaper than that thing...it's all in the execution by the blank maker. Those guides are pimp though! You couldn't buy a set of recoils for a spinning rod for half what you are paying for that rod.

I have one that I've been using for a few year (not the 50th anny edition), and it's a great rod. Fantastic for $88

Just order 1 plus a True Timber Silvertec Heavyweight Beanie for a total of $83.91 included tax and shipping. (and that included additional shipping charges for large item). Hope it is a good rod.

Pretty light tip on the 7' 8-12 704-1 spinning rod. But with 8 recoil guides and a weight of 4.5oz, I still feel I got a pretty good deal at $88. Going to make for a sweet flick shake/small plastics rod. Being just 1 oz heavier than compareable rods at over 3 times the price, I'd say I'm happy with my purchase for sure. Perfect balance match for my cardinal 801.
