Default Loveland's LoneTree whats the deal??

we went back out to lone tree again last nite. trolled the whole west side into the north cove. fish finder was going crazy in the cove right out from the trailer parked there. nothing hit, thay must have been carp. went deep and found nothing. skunked again. why is that lake so hard to catch fish when its full of giant fish? I've never done good there. is there a trick that i dont know about? I know it hard to give out serects but keep in mind that i was born and raised here and I support c&r. help a native boy out please!!!!

BUT....could you tell me if they put the dock in yet?

In lakes that fish this way and hold big fish. I think it's a matter of persistence and timing. Just keep at it. The day it pays you back could be the day of your lifetime.

Or you could just got to Barbour Ponds and catch fish.

I always hear from folks how tough Lone Tree is, and I always smoked 'em in there. Then again, that was a few years ago when I was living in the land of love, and I was wading. Maybe that is the deal?

The secret to that lake is....its hard. Like ITO said stay persistent, there are no dinks in there.

The weird part of Lonetree is that ever since they turned it into a "walleye" fishery, my skunk days have been way higher.

Yes you can seine for shad in larimer county.

Perhaps that is what the op should start doing.

no boat dock yet but water level is high enough getting a boat in is cake.
