Looks like the fishing may get better in front of and just below Sports Authority Field...

Rather than giving that short section a face-life, why not start at Chatfield and work your way downstream?

There are many sources of sediment and pollution upstream, and (the last I knew) water runs downhill mostly. Any work done or money spent on remediation would have less of a lasting impact if the water upriver is still carp. Oops, crap.

Still, I am happy that any attention from the public or the government (in that order) is focused on the needs of the system. We do actually have a resource there.

Just a thought, I might be off base.

My guess is that since it's the city of Denver that won the grant, they want to do the cleanup in the city of Denver rather than in another city

Seriously...I'm sure Englewood would need to apply on their own in order to work on that section.

Good.

If casper, wyoming can improve their platte river, so can we.

last time I tried a little carp fishin on the platte, it was such a smelly toxic mess I felt like I should be wearing rubber gloves. Don't think 350k will help that much, but it needs all the help it can get.
