Default 2 rod limit

i know colorado has a two rod limit. the question is, can you have more than 2 rods in the boat if you only fish with 2 or does it mean 2 rods in the boat? coming from texas where you can have as many as you can afford has me confused.

I put 8-14 in the boat, end up using the same one all day long. The rules read in the water, so as long as you only have 2 lines out at a time and you are properly licensed you are ok

Why 10 in the boat? That doesn't make sense and I've never seen that before.

The way I've read the rules/regs is with a second rod stamp, you can have 2 rods in the water and up to 3 hooks on each line.

You can have any amount of lines in the water sans hooks though.

I think he's using 10 as an example. You can have 110 if you like!

The regulations can be confusing. 2 rods isin't state wide either. There are places where only one is legal. Right off the bat, I can think of two places I fish where you can only fish with one rod.
