You'll wish you were staying longer when it comes time to leave...place is great. I can't give current conditions/reports...but can say that May is best time to be there...kokes are still fairly shallow and ripe for easy trolling...once you have dinner you can cruise up the creeks and catch smallies and crappies. If that gets boring...go after some big arse pike. After dinner...break out the cat rods and hope for a monster cat. Can't say enough about Navajo...hope you tear it up!

The colorado side is fishing really well righr now ,bancos canyon towards the back is always a good spot for cats, srimp under a slip float, in the channel will keep ya busy all day. Across from the sail boat beach were the two rivers in colorado meet can be really good for northerns on crankbaits or jig and pigs, becarful off that point , theres a old concrete foundation in there that gets alot of boats ever year, lahara canyon can be good for bass, pike, and cats, ive got some nice crappie out in the tires in front of the colorado boat ramp and all though the marina. Good luck and postsome pics, it can be a real fun top water lake for bass.

NM side has more coves, places to camp, is more scenic and better fishing IMO. Clearer water. I went down years ago and camped lakeside and caught smallies and pike all day long.
