Default Water level Links?

Hey guys,

Anyone have a link to daily water level for Boyd lake? I have been logging Sonar info to make DR.Depth Maps and want to make sure everything is "offset" correctly...I appreciate anything anyone can throw my way. Been on the Bureau of Reclamation and the Division of Water Resources, nada...

It may be like the some of the others around here, where there is no link to verified lake level data. In those cases I just pick 2 or 3 distinct humps, mark what I call depth check waypoints on them, then I go over them each time I record, and correct all my .drd files to the same depth at those points. Not perfect, but it works well enough.

It might be that a call to the state park office for Boyd could get you the information. That has worked for me a couple of places.

Don,

Great idea! Thanks for the info. Did you guys ever get a Dr. Depth get together rolling? Wrong time of the year now, but I would be game in the between time of soft to hard water this fall...

No, there didn't seem to be much interest.

If you use depth check waypoints, go over them from at least 2 directions each time. There is some inherent variability even then, but it is way better than nothing.
