Default Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12

I know that there is at least one proponent of the Hobie brand on the forum.

I am thinking about selling my Quincy boat and getting a Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12 for the hand launch waters. I would get a smallish tiller rig for the larger waters that I am interested in fishing that are somewhat unsafe for my 12 foot electric only boat. So the basic plan is a Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12 and a 16' V with tiller and a splash guard at this point.

Anyone have any suggestions for an alternative to the Hobie, or reasons why I should run, not walk out and get one as soon as I can?

I would love to have a Hobie Mirage Pro Angler...stable, no more electric, up to 6mph....a bit of exercise...but boy...What's not to like. If you get one, let me take it for a spin...please..

Check out The New Anchorage in Lyons if you haven't already. They have demo days where you can get out in the Pro Angler and see how it would work for you.

Wow, super! I was hoping I could find one used, 'cause those things are crazy spendy.

Would love to take one for a test drive.

I have a wilderness commander 12' ... I've fished in it every weekend for the last month in the combat zone of Chatfield without issues.

If I had to do it over though, I'd go with the Pro Angler in a heartbeat! Hands-free trolling would be worth the extra coin the pro angler costs.

Check out www.kayakbassfishing.com

You can ask a lot of questions, and get some great input on kayaks used for freshwater fishing.
