Default Do you live in fear?

That a body of water you fish that hasn't been discovered by the masses will be the subject of a glowing, detailed report. At which time the bucket brigade will show up and ruin your fishing spot.

I'm not losing sleep but I do kind of cringe when I see a report on a little know lake.

I realize these places are not "mine" and everybody has just as much right to be there, just don't want to see them plundered.

Yes all the time, especially when that body of water is a known jewel not used as much as most and some a$$clown exploits it every chance he gets!!!

I agree 100%..This is especially true today in the internet age. Common sense has to prevail. The problem is you can't police all the dumb***es who read stuff and get hell bent on "gettin' theirs"...

Here's a half joking suggestion.

I think the serious and conservation minded fishermen should start treating their favorite honey holes in the same manner local hawaiians and north shore people treat their favorite breaks they surf.

Sure you can protect them, dont post any reports, pictures, etc. Become a lurker.

That's a double edged sword, though.

Interesting title. I had to look... No, I don't live in fear. It's too dramatic of a word. I would say "concern" is a more appropriate word. "Fear" seem to be the right word for some people though. BTW, I think it's silly to think that McIntosh and Pella need protection. Well, I guess it's silly to me because I don't care to fish either lake. They are not gems and I would rather see the crowd go there than some other lakes, but it's a matter of opinion.

I dont.
I know that nobody has the patience to catch every fish in the lake.
Every lake will go through ups & downs.
It is what it is.
