I saw that program too, and wanted to try the knot. But even though my Dish Network box had recorded the program, I still couldn't remember the knot long enough to rush from the TV to the workshop to try it! Old age is tough, believe me. Your second link gives a picture of the knot that I can print out and carry with me to the workbench, so now I can practice it too.

Doesn't look any harder than the perfection loop knot.

After you reach a certain age, you'd be surprised at all the things you can tie a knot in.

Cool knot for tying directly to the lure, I'll have to try it some time. I almost always tie a "rapala" knot on my cranks to allow more action to the bait. I often won't cut my tag end when I need to get a bait in the water as fast as possible and I like how the tag lays back towards the bait. Good link Jay.
