Default Cabin Suggestions?

Hey Guys and Gals.... My parents were planning on heading up to Leadville this weekend for a little get away and hoping to catch a fish or two in a few ponds. Turns out most everything is booked up for a bike race or something, and now the folks were thinking calling off their weekend get a way. I won't have that!!! They rarely ever do things for themselves or by themselves...

Anyone have any suggestions for weekend get a way cabin with easy fishing close by, or better yet right out the doors of the cabin. They would both be more than happy to catch stockers I'm sure.... There can't be hiking or even really a long walk my old man is a few months away from a knee replacement.

Thanks in advance....

I was thinking they might enjoy a weekend up on the grand mesa somewhere but can't think of any cabins right on a lake....The cabins on Island lake are booked up.

How about 11Mile cabins from Jim Collins at the General store? Kind of late maybe but worth a shot. Good luck!!! Also the Lake George Motel Cabins have been reopened, I use to stay there all the time and they were not bad at all!!!

You might also check Mount Princeton Hot Springs and then have them drive up to Cottonwood Lake to fish...or the Cottonwood Hot Springs Lodge...or the Twin Lake cabins...

How about in between Granby lake and shadow mountain there is a cabin that sits on the canal. So your half way between grandby and grand lake + Rocky mountain park. Just cant remember the place that rents the cabins.

Right on man!!! That would be a bummer if they dashed their plans due to lack of lodging...
