I have ice fished it and wanted to fish it from my boat last summer but the ramp was out of the water. I agree it has probably gotten much less pressure than normal the past year and with a higher water level and lots of weed growth it should be developing some nice sized walleyes and bass. I am looking forward to hitting it this year.

It is NW of Ft. Collins. It is actually in the regulations brochure. I'm pretty stoked about going up there. I google searched it and found some pictures and it looks pretty darn decent.

Douglas Reservoir - Water level is good and the boat ramp is usable. Fishing is good for recently stocked trout with Power Bait, night crawlers and Fireballs just south of the boat ramp and off the dam face. No reports on walleyes yet; water is still too cold.
Taken from the fishing conditions page on the DOW website. http://wildlife.state.co.us/dowfish/index.asp

Douglas is a sleeper all right, zzzzzzzzzzzzz. It's nothing to look at, mostly shallow other than by the dam. Most people fish it for stocked rainbows but there are other species though I've yet to land anything really big. Bank fishing you're pretty much limited to the boat ramp and along the dam. This lake fishes much better in a small boat trolling or jigging. I've heard about some decent fish landed but they seem to be few and far between. Most are small but the action can be lively.
