Default Planning a summer guys trip.

Planning a mid June fishing, boating trip for a long weekend with just the guys. I was planning on heading up north to Wy. alcova or pathfinder have been to both several times and had a lot of fun. But was also thinking of Blue Mesa but havnt been since i was a kid. Travel time seems to be about the same from Denver. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Mid June will be salmon central at BM with options for Raibows, Browns and Lakers with lots of company, I'm sure you know what to expect in windy Wyoming.

Sounds like a great idea to me! Kokanee, browns, rainbows and lakers are all part of the mix. Camp at the lake or get a hotel in Gunnison. Water may be a bit cold for skiing if that's part of what your in to. Good luck and keep the dollars in Colorado!

The sporting goods store in town is pretty good...

We've caught plenty from shore casting hardware, including a 35" 19 1/2 pound laker a couple of years back on a red/white daredevil!

Looks like it will be Blue Mesa. Has anyone done the boat in camping? Sounds like a nice way to get away from the crowds?
