Default Fishing in Steamboat Springs

I am heading to Steamboat Springs on the 16th to spend a couple days and also fish. I've never been there before and could use any help as to where to fish and what to use.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Rich

Stagecoach has been fishing pretty well. Haven't been there since before Memorial Day but I've heard the fishing is still pretty good. It's only about a 20 or 30 minute drive from downtown Steamboat.

I haven't fished Steamboat Lake since Memorial Day. Trolled an ultra-light sidekick dodger w/ a crawler, caught a few (nice 3lber, ruby red meat), but had little fish'n time due to all the kids (3) and wife. You may want to check out Pearl too.

Being that you are in Steamboat don't pass on the chance at the river right there in town. Its gold medal water but that also means that the fish you catch are pretty healthy. You could flyfish but also pack the spinning rod with a size 9 of 11 floating rapala in the brown trout pattern. Work it aggressively and you shouldn't have a problem. Also consider below stagecoach for a nice mixed bag of trout including brookies or even the lake for some pike.
