Default Spoon bite at Chatfield?

I know it's way early, but I have been hearing about a "spoon bite" that turns on at Chatfield in the fall.* Does anyone know anything about it?* It sounds more like jigging then retrieving the spoon.* *Does it work?* Any info appreciated, I fish Chatty a lot, but have never heard of this "spoon bite" and it has grabbed my curiosity.* Might have to do a little practice while the weather is still nice.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I got some smallies on spoons earlier this year. I just throw it out as far as I can, let it sink, three turns, hard jig, sink. They would hit on the fourth or fifth drop. Orange was the killer color.

I deep water jig all late fall thru the winter at Pueblo-catch cats, smallies, spots, walleye, etc.* You bet it works.* Got to put in your time learning* the lake, etc but you can load the boat.* To just get started I'd recommend Kastmasters in 1/2-3/4 oz.
You're not drinking alone if you have a dog.

Advice. Wise men don't need it, fools won't heed it.
