Default Channel Cats missing in action

If anyone can give me any tips on where to catch Channel cats at Navajo lake on the colorado side,PLEASE let me know!!! I have been there at least twenty times this summer abd have yet to catch a channel. I even set a trotline one night and ended up with a huge carp and that was it. Don't get me wrong but, I am sick and tired of reeling in 3 to 20 inch bullheads. I use raw shrimp,Beef liver, crawdad tails, live minnows, cut bait, waterdogs, nightcrawlers, and even velveeta cheese. Please let me know what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost every channel I've caught, which were all on the Delaware River, were caught on either minnows or a minnow imitating lure. Never had any luck with stink baits or liver, etc... I don't think they bottom feed like the bulls do.

My two cents

If you are not hooking into any, you are fishing in the wrong area.

I am headed back to navajo today. Yesterday I went and caught some live bluegills at Pastorius reservoir for bait. I have decided to head down to the new mexico side where the pine river meets the rest of the lake. Will report if I have any luck. Might pick up some waterdogs in aztec to try for pike.
