Default Beginner fly set up

Looking to get a rod and reel set up at reasonable price. New to Colorado and want to start fly fishing. Used to do a lot of salmon fishing when I lived back in Washington state. If anyone has anything feel free to PM me or email me.

[email protected]

I'm located in northern Colorado

Thanks!

B, first welcome to Colorado and the forum!!! Next, for the beginners setup at a descent price check out the Spring Fishing Classic coming up at Bass Pro the 12th-21st. Looking through the event flyer it looks like they have some great deals from White River to Fenwick! Here is the link to the Classic flyer leading to the Denver store...

Good luck and tight lines!!!

Just a word of caution. Going cheap into any new hobby can sometimes be less than helpful. Getting a rod you can't cast or a bottom of the barrel set up can frustrate to the point that the hobby is quickly given up. No need to buy top of the line equipment but if you are serious about getting into a hobby (flyfishing I guess could be called a hobby) then talk to some folks who are knowledgeable or get with a salesperson who is truly helpful about getting you set rather than trying to just make a quick sale.

But then you probably already knew this or you wouldn't have asked.

I'm not really looking for the cheapest I just wanna spend a bunch of money just yet. But I'd like to get into some decent gear.
