Don't do it. Wrap that baby up and store it carefully, it's going to be worth a bundle someday.

I fully agree with that! If you still have the original box and instuctions , box it and keep it. PK

I don't have the box for it. I got it with a wright mcgill rod. The guy I got it from said he used it a couple times and decided he didn't like fishing. If my left hand wasn't retarded I would keep and use the reel. That is why I am looking for a 301 or 351 to put to good use.

W.E. is right on the money here. Put that puppy away. My dad has an old 302 from the 70's we used to use for king salmon fishing. He won't let me steal it, even though he has no collector type plans for it. He's holding on to it "in case he needs it". Would be cool if he did.

OK everybody thinks I should hang on to this reel. Why? If it's so valuable why can't I get a bite on a trade? I just need a good reel with the crank on the right side to fish with, not really in to collecting. Thanks.

All you are doing with your left hand is spinning it in a circle to reel................it's easy. Practice it 'til you are ambitdextrious for reeling in line.............1/2 of a two piece rod and the left hand retrieve reel without line and your recliner is all you need to get good at it. Then you have a great reel to use as your own...........and more skills to show for it.

I decided when I was 12 or 13 that I didn't like switching my rod from hand to hand after I cast out.................so I bought all of my reels with left hand retrieve from there on out............best thing I ever did for my fishing enjoyment.
