I've actually caught suckers (yes, you heard correctly) by bouncing a non-bead-headed pheasant tail on the bottom, in about a size 12 on some ponds a few years ago. Had the camera pointed down the hole and about died laughing when I saw what sucked up my pheasant tail...

I've seen guys use red chironomids, soft hackled wet flies, buggers, just about anything that looks vaguely buggy and food-item-like... and no, I haven't tried tying egg yarn on to make it look like power bait, yet...

Got Fish?
More importantly, SET THE HOOK!

I still say he married me because he took me ice fishing and I still wanted to go fishing with him again!
