Thanks for all the replies so far! I'm looking for contours under water much more than the gps location on a tree and such. I have researched the Lowrance option more and it appears that the detail of the map is dictated by Navionics or Insight etc. I don't want those maps to be my contour map - they don't show what I want to see on the waters I fish.

I think I'll go ahead and make a doctor appointment. After a closer look, it appears that Dr. Depth is the only real option for what I want to do.
