From Sedona it would have been about an hour drive until they start showing up on the side of I-17 .... Not sure about places to bike though.

Very nice, I need to get out there sometime. How much did Boon charge you per hour for that rod?

After hooking up and losing my first seven fish...It was more of how much would I have paid..

It was cool how it happened. Batman had loaned me a two piece rod that wasn't quite heavy enough. After I called him and told him how I'd been losing fish, he sent Boon a text...Boon sent me a text..I sent him a text..telling him I had a flip phone. I called him and the guys met me at the boat ramp and did an Olympic relay race rod baton hand off at the ramp. They definitely wanted to get out and get fishing after the long ride. If we could have stayed, it would have been nice to have sat around and shot the shit for a while.

It was my first time ever using a bait caster for anything other than ice fishing. That was kinda cool.

Very much appreciated.

With my now limited experience. Tiger's fight harder. When you set the hook, it's solid, like setting into a rock. Then, some of them come straight up out of the water doing their Tarpon impersonation, and then dive deep.

A huge difference is that once out of the water, they flop more than a slimer. Tough to get them to hold still for a quick pic and get the jaw spreaders on them so you can get the hook out. Could use an extra hand.
