Default Lake mead Nv?

I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about lake mead in nv. I figure it's a slim chance but you never know. I will be heading to Vegas next week and wouldn't mind doing some shore fishing if possible. I have fished lake mead in the past with guides and done very well but I want to just go out and explore on my own. I have done some research online and will be calling some bait shops and stuff but any helpful info on conditions or what to expect would be appreciated. I am sort of worried about the water levels because I know they are super low but it's such a big lake regardless. A striper from shore would definitely be sweet.

lake mead is pretty nasty of a lake. theres a fourms bigfishtackle thats like our exploiter. i grew up in vegas. you can always huck a can of corn in the water and slay some carp. i have a buddy with a little boat who i could try to link you up with. He can never get anyone to get up before the sun to go fishin. hes all about trolling big ass swim baits on the river where the stocker truck used to dump them in.

The fact that that guy swung the fish over the edge with 6lb test instead of taking the proper cautions while landing it is the most epic part of that
