Default El Salto

Has anyone ever been to El Salto? Any suggestions? Tips? Thoughts?
I have a list of lures that the lodge supplied me with and have some other ideas on what to try but I am always up for suggestions!!

Me and my friend Luke(Fistfullafish on here but he doesn't log in anymore) have a trip booked to El Salto in January... Specifically January 2-10th that will include 7 FULL days of fishing(3-9th) Bucket list trip for sure!!!

All inclusive and we decided to go with Pro Bass Adventures. http://mexicofishing.net/

They had the best price and were willing to give us a deal for booking so far in advance... There are only a few lodges that are actually on the lake and we only wanted to stay on the lake!!

The trip is still super far out but I am slowly making orders for lures and equipment so I will be ready!! Cant wait to be in Mexico fishing for DD bass while you guys are ice fishing!! lmao

Once we get back I'll use this thread to post pics and maybe videos!

Well..... lol

Airline ticket was about $600 per person round trip.

And the 7 days/nights... All inclusive at the lodge was $2,295 per person

That includes everything with the exception of additional baggage fees and tips for the resort staff and fishing guides.

And of course passport/lures/etc are all extra

$3000 to catch bass- Hmmm-

Although thats better than paying $6000 to go to Patagonia or New Zealand for slimers-

To each his own.

I'm a bass guy and the chance I will have at a Double Digit Largemouth makes it more than worth it! Not to mention it's a typical day in the lake when 2 guys boat over a 100 fish. Average fish 4 to 6 lbs with a chance at much much bigger. 7 days of that and I'll be toast but it's going to be epic!

Not to mention it'll be winter and I'll be chilling in shorts catching bass With all the great food and drink I want including alcoholic beverages.

I go every year with pro bass adventures, I think they are the best bang for your buck on the lake. Great service great guides great food and the only lodge on the lake using glass boats. Send me a pm and I can give you some more info on lures and guides

I use to like ice fishing.... I guess it's okay... but I only do it out of necessity. lol Hopefully my local metro spot gets good ice this year.. last year it never firmed up quite enough to fish it safely
