Default wipers-wipers

Wife and I went to Western Nebraska for three days this week. Caught a ton of big wipers. She caught the biggest of the trip at 17 lbs and 29" long. It was literally a pig.... WHAT A GIRTH! Caught on a variety of things: minnows, crawlers and flutter spoons. We also caught: pike, crappie, perch, walleye and Blue cats. All except a few walleye were released. Water temp was 64 degrees and the wind was not bad.

Your wife's wiper 17lbs...Now that's a wiper. Sounds like you all had a very good trip.

Caught quite a few wipes out of there a couple years ago between 12 and 14lbs, so I'm not surprised there are some 17s now. That is a tackle busting wipe for sure.
