His Own Dock

Hey Guys,

Usually I don't post things from the other site here, but knowing Dave was a kid on the dock too I wanted to share this with him.

Tight lines,
Eric

Good read, kinda makes me feel guilty, i also had an awesome childhood w as much freedom any kid could ask for, but i lived in a small town. Kids growing up in the city have access to many things but nothing like the freedom and security of small town living. Being a parent i am always fearful of the creeps and freaks out there.

I feel the same way... maybe he can find his own dock while I'm in the parking lot just making sure he's safe! lol

The dock was a great place to get weed from the pedalboat attendants.... And for the enjoyment of Molinya... Lots of teenage fat girls too.

I miss being 16.

Good one, makes me realize that i was lucky. My mom who had custody of me was super over protective and a worry wart, but my dad who i saw on the weekends not so much. Starting at about age 7 He used to just let me get lost fishing for the entire day when i visited him. First He lived next door to Ketring lake where i got started on blue gill and bass. He later moved to Frisco and I discovered the bike path between Frisco and Copper. He didn't like fishing, and never owned his own rod, but he fully supported my love of fishing. I would take off from Frisco on my bike in the morning, then at lunch and dinner he would come get me on his bike. I definitely had my found my favorite holes and pretty much stuck to them, It was always pretty easy for him to find me.

Another spot I loved to fish at Webster was the inlet structure.

It held lots of craw dads so a lot of bass and catfish would hang there. Caught some cats there many summer evenings.
