Default Lake of the Woods Slab Crappies

For our final day of fishing on our stay at Flag Island Resort we went back into the Canadian side of LOTW to target giant Crappies through the ice. We caught good numbers of Crappies along with some real Slabs, throw in a 26" Walleye and Day 3 did not disappoint! It was tough to leave Flag Island but I will be back up there again soon fishing off the grid and taking in the beautiful sights and sounds.

Oh YEAH !!
Have NOT ventured that far S.W. on LOW...
Usually base out of Sioux Narrows.... Mid Sept.
We "always" say We will take a day and target some CRAPPIE...
But We never seem to get away from The Eye's and Pike long enough...
GOTTA do it sometime....
Did The resort suggest an area... Or did You just Know the spots?

That was my first trip to the area, I would love to get up there open water now. The resort brought us out to the Crappie areas as we stayed with them and had no idea (or snowmachines) on where to go.
