Assuming 40 boats @ $300 each means $12,000 in entry fees and $6500 is the total payout. Where does the other $5500 go?

Grand Lake as the ultimate fishing town?...really??...when I think of ultimate fishing towns Grand Lake (a wonderful place) isnt exactly at the top of the list...that would be a list like Cooperstown NY, Canton OH, Springfield MA and Commerce City CO. Which one doesnt fit?

how can you say Grand lake is not a ultimate fishing town. Four lakes within 10 miles (Grand,Granby,Shadow mtn.,willow creek). The headwaters of the Colorado river along with a number of high mountain streams. Rocky mountain national park. Trophy lake trout fishing, Fly fishing for cutts in high mountain lakes and streams so clear you see the fish rise to take the fly. Stunning views of mountains, lakes, valleys, and rivers. Wildlife walking along side you as you cast your rod. One day you will figure out its not the fish you are after its the story you will tell.

There are a number of good door prizes, permits, advertising, and dock rentals. This is a chamber event so it will be non profit.

Commerce city is a great fishing town too!!! Carp in the crystal clear Platte need I say more? Where else can you wade past needles, diapers, and always have a little fear that you might come across a dead body? If you have enough time stop in at Gala Gardens and watch multiple toothless locals gum through a steak! It's quite the sight.... If fish isn't what your after and all your looking for is a story to tell COMMERCE CITY IS the ultimate fishing town!

Too funny it used to be, thats why I live here although its been exploited to a point its not what it used to be. Voting it in would be the final exploitation to ruin it for good, maybe we can get Bernie in his ice team gear to be on the air...I have a t-shirt that says, Grand lake a quaint little drinking and snowmobiling town with a fishing problem. Grand lake Troutmasters... this town will do anything to get people to come up. We need to get Ewert to stock some brooders right before the contest. Remember guys no live minnows.
