koldkut Strawberry Glitter White tail, and Rootbeer Gltr/Black Back/Chart or white tail on a jighead.

Shrimp under a popping cork works nicely, when I lived in South texas, we found in the hotter months you had to have live shrimp or use dead shrimp under the popping cork, but don't let it sit for any more than 10 seconds after popping it, hot summer fish got finicky.

Flashback Spooks early and late. Lipless cranks, Jig head and plastic shrimp/gulp during day. If you can get fresh bait popping corks with shrimp, live mullet on a Carolina rig set like you would for catfish.

Galveston Bay

All,
Going to Galveston Bay in about a week to visit a family friend who happens to have a beach house on Galveston Bay and I am going to try and do some surf fishing in the early mornings there and hopefully get into some specks. Anybody have any tips on catching these guys what to use etc. I have some experience but not much at all.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance
-Matt
