River Crappie Fishing

Right before the MN Fishing Opener (yes, there are seasons here ) I had the itch to get on the water so I dropped my kayak in the Backwaters and targeted Crappies. It took a bit to find them but when I did, the bite was on! Got into a mess of White Crappies with an awesome average of over 11". Smallest fish of the day was 10.5". Throw in a few bonus Walleye & a big Bass on the Ultralight and you have a day I won't soon forget!
