Fordo Look for big macs in real shallow at ice out. Cranks and big swims are good options for ice out macs.

Do they taste anything like brookies?

slayerfish They usually eat OK till about 22" or so. Then not so much.

Tube jigs or twister tails in white, green, or brown.

I find they hit metal popped off the bottom.

Also cannot go wrong with roe sacs-

I plan to go after them at ice out. Tube jig with sucker meat a good bet? What jig do you like? I'm thinking Twin Lakes and Forebay.

Since they're a char. Do they taste anything like brookies?
