Thanks man.

I used the original cork and put a coat of BSI 2 part epoxy across the cork and reel seat, then sanded it down smooth. But it left some imperfections so I had to do it a second time. Then I used some rattle can bed liner for the reel seat and handle, its actually really comfortable and not harsh like I thought it could be.

Ive been fishing a Compre for a couple weeks and so far I haven't noticed a crack between the reel seat and handle, but time will tell.

What did you use for handle material on it? it looks seamless against the back of the seat, almost like you molded it and then turned it down. Looks good!

Not perfect, but Im happy with the results.

The palm side is kinda squared off and I have a pinky grove carved into the other side, it fits my short fat fingers pretty darn good.

Before and after shots. Ones a 7' and the other is 7' 6" All Star rod so their not identical but really close.
